Overarching strategy for organisations that have outgrown improvisation

We work with established businesses and enterprise clients on the decisions that set the next three to five years: where to compete, how to win there, and what has to change internally to make it true.

Engagements

Four ways we are usually brought in

Complete strategy development

The full loop across the whole organisation. We assess the strategy you are running today — often unwritten — rebuild it on evidence, and hand over an implementation plan with owners, budgets and measures.

  • Mandate, purpose and intent, agreed by the owners
  • Situation picture, outside and in
  • Written diagnosis naming the real crux
  • Guiding policy and business model
  • Scorecard, cascaded OKRs and review cadence

Growth architecture

For organisations with a working core and an unclear next move. Which markets, which segments, which products — sized from the bottom up, priced, and sequenced into a roadmap the leadership team can actually run.

  • Segment and market prioritisation
  • Bottom-up sizing for target markets
  • Pricing, channel and route-to-market design
  • Capacity and hiring plan tied to the numbers

Operational efficiency

Where margin is leaking rather than growth stalling. We rebuild the economics from the bottom — by product, by customer, by site — and rank the fixes by what each is actually worth.

  • Margin and cost-to-serve analysis
  • Process and capacity bottleneck review
  • Portfolio rationalisation
  • Ranked interventions with value estimates

Operating partner engagements

For the year after the decision. A principal embedded part-time to hold the operating cadence, keep the model current, and tell the board the truth when the numbers drift from the plan.

  • Monthly operating review
  • Quarterly RENEW session
  • Board and investor reporting
  • Org design and senior hiring input

Who we work with

Where we are useful

We are a small group and take a limited number of engagements at once. That means being honest about fit.

When we will say no

  • When the plan is being built to justify a decision already taken
  • When the real problem is capital structure, not strategy
  • When the timing means a review would be more useful than a rebuild
  • When a smaller, cheaper piece of work would answer the question

In any of those cases we will say so on the first call and, where we can, point you at someone better suited.

Fees

Scoped and priced before we start

Enterprise engagements are quoted on scope, not billed by the hour. You get a written proposal with deliverables, timeline and a fixed fee before anything is committed. Smaller businesses are served through Expert Business Plans, where prices are published openly.

Start with the decision, not the contract.

Tell us what you are trying to work out. We will tell you what it would take, what it would cost, and whether it is worth doing at all.
